I JUST joined. I'm pretty simple. I play music. I play basketball. I love riding my bicycle. I travel whenever I can. I'm pretty energetic, but easy going. I have a small dog who is kinda the same way. I moved to Austin from Chicago a few months ago because I was tired of doing rat race office work and needed to shake things up.

I am planning on doing a cross country bicycle tour in August, so I thought it would be a good idea to get involved. I've always been intrigued by couch surfing. I have had roommates and friends who have hosted/surfed and for the most part have had good experiences. I'm not necessarily looking to meet people and/or tour them around Austin, I'm just trying to help people travel hopefully that karma will return the open doors when I'm traveling in a few months. Not that I'm not friendly! I'd love to play some music with any musicians rolling through I have several instruments.

I listen to everything. I guess I gravitate towards hip hop, rap, old/new R&B/soul, indie rock, folk. My father grew up in a traveling boy choir and was in a reggae band that opened for artists like jimmy clifft, peter tosh, bad brains, tina marie! I worked at the chicago symphony for years. Music is pretty important to me.

Favorite movies/TV shows are a good way to gauge a person I suppose. A few favorite movies are There Will be Blood, Network, Blade Runner, Pee Wee's Big Adventure, Fargo, Boyhood. TV Shows: Louie, The Sopranos, The Wire, Jon Oliver, Game of Thrones, Grantland Basketball Hour, History Channel stuff.

Books: Word According to Garp, Anything/Everything by Chad Kultgen, Devil in the White City, Cats Cradle, Jailbird, Ham on Rye.
