Présentation
À propos de moi
As of April 2015, I quit my job turned 25 and got engaged to my fiancee, Morgan. We then took off to Perugia, Italy where she'll be studying for our first three months abroad. Afterwards, we're fulfilling a lifelong dream of mine to travel the world and write. I have always been a writer. From fiction to poetry to journalism, I have a wide variety of writing skills. I was even the Editor for my University newspaper in the fourth year of my undergrad.
I have always felt that a traditional job and schooling was mitigating my ability to write as freely and as often as I wanted. So, all the way back in high school, I promised myself that within a year of graduating university, I'd travel the world writing. And here I am living that dream.
I grew up playing baseball and I had the amazing opportunity of traveling North America extensively, playing in some of the most renowned tournaments in the world. After an injury brought that budding career to a halt, I found a passion for exercise. weight lifting, running, cycling, frisbee, if it's a form of physical exercise, I'm there.
Outside sports, I soak up as much information about life as possible, be it through books or (my favourite) podcasts. I am a big fan of Joe Rogan, Duncan Trussell and Bill Burr's podcasts and you'll frequently find me cooking breakfast (best meal of the day!) and listening to new content.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I worked hard for a solid year, paying off student debt and saving for this 15-month trip abroad. But despite my hard work, I know it won't be possible for Morgan and I to afford even the cheapest Airbnb's for our entire time. I hope to mitigate our costs by effectively using couch surfing as a means to travel. I also find that staying with strangers, who also happen to be locals, really gives you the best sense of how locals in that area live their life and what the best sites are to visit. It's fun being a tourist in the big city and getting lost, but I find the most rewarding experiences happen when you stray from the beaten path.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
Quit a salaried job with benefits to travel the world and write! Does it get any better?
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I could teach you how to drink JUST the right amount of alcohol to produce the best works of art - specifically writing.
In all seriousness, I am a very versed writer and I have operated and built a handful of websites and I am experienced in podcasting.
I'd like to learn to be more hands on. An ideal couch surf host would not only show me the best museums, landmarks and bars in town, they would also have opportunities for me to get dirty: gardening, harvesting, building, etc.
Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes
An eagerness to learn. I eat up information and I love people; I think we're the best species on this planet (or we at least have the capacity to be). Whether it's a philosophy, a way of life, erecting a fence, harvesting in a garden, herding sheep, chopping a tree or fixing a flat tire, I want to learn it all.
