I guess I'm a little (a lot) late to the game, but the idea of crashing with locals who can share some insight into their culture is amazing. The last thing I want to do is stay in a hotel and "see the sights" and Couchsurfing gives me that opportunity.

I'm like anyone else. I enjoy different types of music when the mood suits me, I brew beer on occasion, I fancy myself to be a motocross superstar (I'm not), I relish the thought of restoring old homes, and I have recently decided to become a world traveler (better late than never, right?). I'm also a bit of a self improvement geek.
