About Me

I live in a really nice place, close to Jervis Bay, in a nice little house on the edge of the bush, with lots of wildlife around. I like creative easy going people, musical is good, I have a nice old piano and a couple of guitars. I have a nice native garden which attracts many native birds, and a veggie garden out the back and a couple of chickens. I have travelled overseas a fair bit, and like to meet fellow travelling souls. I moved here from Sydney a few years ago and love the area, it really is a nice part of the world, with lots of lovely places to visit. I am fairly easy going and laid back Aussie bloke, so am happy for guests to do what they want, as long as respect and responsibility are shown. I work weekdays, so weekend visitors works best.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am offering to host, short stays, for one or two people. I have two spare beds and a comfy couch. I mainly would like to meet some travellers and share some of my interests and appreciation of the natural environment of this area. I like to be social, but seem to be spending more time alone than I want to, so I would appreciate the chance to interact and meet some new people. There are limited accommodation options in the Jervis Bay area, it's usually either fairly expensive motels, holiday houses, caravan parks and camping, so I am happy to accommodate the right person(s), so they can gain a wider appreciation of life here, and not have to spend too much money.

Interests

I am fairly outdoors oriented, I do a lot of stand up paddle surfing when conditions are good, I have two boards and the right person can use these if they are a bit adventurous. I have a small creek behind my house that flows into St Georges Basin, another nice waterway down here, so I do a bit of kayaking here and elsewhere, and I have a couple of kayaks that can also be used. I sometimes go fishing in the kayaks and elsewhere, but I tend to surf more than fish these days. I like live music and festivals and other events. I like nice food, and to cook a bit. I have a nice organic vegetable garden, and am happy to share the produce. I like to garden, and as well as the veggy garden I have a nice native Australian garden, which has lots of bird visitors, and the occasional Kangaroo drops in for a visit sometimes. I do a bit of photography and like to go for walks in the bush and camping.
