Working professional in Philly, but love to travel (I try and take at least one trip a year to somewhere exotic)

Typically go out with friends on the weekends, throw house-parties and dinner parties or check out all the great restaurants in Philly.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Willing to host when I'm not too busy and offer advice to Philadelphia visitors.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I remember my first time meeting couch-surfers, I was at a friend's party in Philadelphia and there were two young women couch-surfing from Argentina. It was around midnight and I was about to head home. I was saying goodbye because I had to wake up at 6am to go skiing the next day. "Oh we've never skied! We'd love to try it!" one of them said. "Do you have any ski clothes, warm hats, anything?" I asked. "Well no, but we can layer some sweaters or something." I told them to be ready by 6am the next morning to get on the road, mostly expecting them to sleep through it, but there they were at 6, ready to go. Once we got to the mountain they convinced the instructors to give them free lessons and had a great day learning to snowboard. All of this on a whim based on a short conversation. It was really this sense of adventure that I've seen in so many of the couch-surfers I've met that is so exciting, I love hearing tales of their adventures.

Interesses

trying to find the best/most interesting food wherever I travel to. Discovering new music - I want to hear what you're listening to at home wherever that is.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

I'm a sucker for old 80s horror movies. But I like anything well made and I've started watching more foreign films recently. Two of my favorites "The Lives of Others" from Germany, and "Elite Squad" (1 and 2) from Brazil.

I love reading, especially non-fiction, history, current-affairs, I read a ton of international news.

I'm a huge math geek. Like puzzles and logic problems. Also do some electronics stuff with microcontrollers/circuits. I'm an expert in probability, I can teach you to play really good poker.
