ABOUT ME

We have been travelling around France since May on our bikes, seeing the sights, trying our hand at farming and meeting lots of great people, whilst practicing our beginners French.
Did we mention we also have been eating lots of awesome cheese and drinking ridiculously cheap wine.
Good fun all around. Hope we get to meet you too!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfing at the moment, and inviting people to come visit when we get back to Australia.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've stayed with two couch surfing hosts and a handful of warm showers hosts in western France. We've enjoyed meeting different people, seeing different ways of life. Many hosts have been families which adds a wonderful new dimension our experience.

Interests

Food, wine, cider and beer. Bush walking/ hiking/ trekking/ randonee/ scrambling/ tramping, what ever you want to call it. Meandering on a bikes. We are both big Doctor Who fans, do not mention it if you do not want to talk about it. Same goes for anything by Neil Gaiman.
Emma likes dancing especially tap and salsa, Andrew likes collecting electrical odds and ends and finding random uses for them.
We are both really keen to learn another language, first to try is French, partly 'cause it sounds so nice to listen to, and partly because we can come to France for a year.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Kayaking through Doubtful Sound, and walking on a mystery track through Milford Sound that led us to an amazing lookout, a hilltop nestled in the middle of a circle of snow capped mountain tops. Very cool! by the Way the these places are in the south island of New Zealand. =D

Andrew is from cherry country and is happy to discuss farming in Australia.
