About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To cycle from Mongolia to Turkey
ABOUT ME
I'm a doctor who has been working in the depths of The Royal Melbourne Hospital for the last couple of years. I've just quit my job to embark on a cycle tour from Mongolia to Turkey. Bit ambitious. Bit mountainous. Lots of yak.
My partner, Ali, is also a Melbourne doctor who has also pulled herself away from the clutches of medical work to bike across Central Asia.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted cycle tourists in the past (you can check out their website here: http://horizonto.free.fr) and several other backpackers I've met along the way at my place in Melbourne. However I am fresh when it comes to official couch surfing.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Interests
Yaks. Big mountains. Coffee. My new Surly Long Haul Trucker touring bike.
As far as longer-term interests go, I aim to work in the developing world in a medical capacity, explore some public health career options in the South Pacific and live by a nice body of water.
Kayaking. Growing cherry tomatoes and beetroot in my garden. Composting. Commuting by bike. Contemporary Australian movies. A beer or 2.
