About Me

Digital nomad following adventures as they come and take me around the world.

CURRENT MISSION

To find balance. To improve the world around me and at large. To build an incredible friend group in Wroclaw.

WHAT MY FRIENDS SAY ABOUT ME:

Always smiling. I'm not American. That I will always help out if I can. Friendly. Outgoing Adventurous. Absolutely crazy about exploring the world. They used to call me crazy, because I can't seem to stay in place. Then they got used to it.... Then I did find home in the end.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live. The majority of our problems come from not understanding one another and valuing materialism more than human life and dignity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By promoting the idea of seeing the world, no matter your budget, of sharing experiences, and moving beyond culturally bankrupt Jet to Hotel Resort vacations.

By sharing and learning from the teachers we call humans throughout the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A lot of my friends in Oz shared couches with me, and I've been able to share the favor now and then.

*Update - Met up with Jackelyn in Lima, Peru via CS. Had one of the best times of my life. Definitely a great experience, thx Jackie.

**Stay with super friendly surfers in Japan, met up with more. Several meet ups.

Interests

Over the last couple years, language learning, exploring, and challenging myself to grow. I spend my time either studying, traveling, making new friends or trying to make the world just a little bit better through new ventures. I thrive on doing or learning new things, and practicing what I've already grown to love.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Name of the Wind, The Spirt Level. The Giant Within by Anthony Robbins, The Four-Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferris, anything by Brandon Sanderson for fiction and 1000's more..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My very first time out of the USA in 2009. I landed in Australia, my eyes were 'glued' open for weeks. When my first view of the ocean on the Gold Coast, I decided there right in that moment that ocean was my home, and spent having a year enjoying the 40km of white sand beaches.

Another would be the entire experience of learning a new language. From how difficult it was, to how much a love a languages defines me today. I remember struggling and triumphing with the very first small achievements like being able to order, then being able to have a 5min conversation, then fully converse person to person to later in a whole group, dreaming, and finally, not even realizing which language people speak to me in but, understanding and responding without thought.

The third: All of the amazing people that I have met along the way, that have taught me more than I could have ever learned from a book. Sharing their traveling experiences, their ways of thinking, challenging expand my mind, and ways of thinking.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a CELTA in teaching english as a foreign language, and have taught Spanish, Japanese and Swedish on several occasions. Internet marketing experience. I've received a lot of startup mentorship and am looking to give back. Travel advice/ how to live abroad without the "contorts of home".

I can show you how to make sushi.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Laughter, advice, healthy food, how to get started freelancing or learning nearly any language. Yin Yoga :)
