About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Me and my friend Micha are trying to backpack all around the states. We're leaving from Portland and our mission is just to see a ton of things we never would otherwise.

ABOUT ME

https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1318841826&sk=info

My name is Andrew. I bike everywhere and play a gang of basketball. I went to Franklin high school, hopefully mostly unnoticed.. Now I'm at Portland State doing hoodrat stuff like studying and learning. Music could be the most important thing in my life. I'm a late night person. I love thinking about stuff and self contemplation and the little personal revelations that come from it. Baseball deserves a sentence. I have three dogs I love very much. I cherish my friends and love spending time with them. Running around the outdoors is fun. I live by science. I love our downtown. I love Portland!!! and the Q197!

PHILOSOPHY

If there's some path I'm on in life, for me it's one towards personal revelation. The ideas and morals I find personally important in life are there for me to live by. I'll be on a pursuit of personal improvement my whole life and the rewards are from within and fulfilling. I want my actions to always speak louder than my words.

Confucius remarked: The moral man's life is an exemplification of the universal order, because he is a moral person who unceasingly cultivates his true self or moral being.

Confucius remarked of his favorite disciple, Yen Huei: "Huei was a man who all his life sought the central clue in his moral being, and when he got hold of one thing that was good, he embraced it with all his might and never lost it again."

"In the discharge of the ordinary duties of life and in the exercise of care in ordinary conversation, whenever there is shortcoming, never fail to strive for improvement, and when there is much to be said, always say less than what is necessary; words having respect to actions and actions having respect to words. Is it not just this thorough genuineness and absence of pretense which characterizes the moral man?"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This is my first time using couchsurfing and right now I'm just looking for possible couches that me and my friend can stay on during our travels. While I become more familiar with the site I also know I'll be somebody who facilitates the ideas of the site. I'll carry myself the right way and always make responsible decisions. I'm humble and I'll cherish any help I get. When I'm on the other side of the coin I know I'll be able to be a great host for somebody. I'll participate by being a honest, conscious, respectful member.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn all I can. If there's anything I could share its that there's no shortcut in becoming the person you want to be. I will share whatever I can, I try to be a selfless person and my conduct with others is to be an exemplification of morals I hold myself to.
