兴趣

I guess I really just like experiencing things. Things that push me out of my comfort zone. Most of the meaningful experiences I have come when I am exploring and when I am going with the flow.

Of course I have particular interests and enjoy specific 'things' that I like but more than anything I enjoy just being around a dinner table with friends, sitting and talking and laughing. When dinner starts at 6 and continues until 2 because nobody has anywhere else to be. When nobody has their phones on. When conversations that couple God and sex and nonsense and jokes that are only funny to us last long into the night.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

A few friends and I once became friends with a man on a hiking trail in Utah. He told us that if we drove 4 hours north to his home in Spanish Fork he would take us for a ride on his helicopter over the Rocky Mountains. We followed up and he flew us... for hours. And it was the most amazing act of generosity I've ever experienced.
