About Me
I just realized I probably haven't updated my profile since ages (updating this April 2017).
Verification? I understand the appeal, however I don't need to pay money once a month just to prove who I am. Plug my name into Youtube, and tell me if you then think I'm fake (and if you're a fan of classical music, tell me what you think :) )
I'm fairly nice, quiet, enjoy beer. I enjoy traveling, but I sadly don't do nearly as much as I want to. I'm an organist, which due to my profession makes it rather difficult to find free time on weekends and holidays.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I travel I don't necessarily need or want the hotel treatment; I enjoy cheap travel, and meeting people is fun (although sometimes the first introduction is insanely hard for me).
Plus, I've had some bad experiences in hostels: I was once in one in Cologne the night before an audition, and one of the hostel roommates (room of 6 or 8, most came in after I went to sleep) woke me up in the middle of the night. My German wasn't that great at the time, but I'm pretty sure he was an older fellow, and I think he was trying to get me to crawl into his bed with him and cuddle.... Needless to say, I didn't sleep very well that night, and maybe that's why my audition didn't go so well the next day
Interests
Classical music, video games, cards, traveling, languages... I find it actually really hard to make lists of things when you try to actively think about them.

Music, Movies, and Books
Can I just say "Netflix" as a general answer?
Music: I'm a classical guy, I general play more than actually listening to music (I also have perfect pitch). I don't actively listen to a lot modern music, but I used to work in kitchens, where there is always a radio playing in the background, so I've been cultured, so to say.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been to Oktoberfest, I've seen the top of the Eiffel Tower, and for the few major music nerds out there, I've done some pretty great performance feats on piano and organ. And I played the organ once in Westminster Abbey :)
Oh, and I moved to Germany to study music. I guess that's cool.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, in terms of "learning", I see and read so many profiles here, and some of the feedback that people receive/give. It makes me feel quite boring, which something I definitely need to fix.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My sarcasm, wit and (sometimes strange) humor, as well as my very uncomplicated self. And maybe a few bottles of Bavarian beer...
