About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to be a part of it and figure out what's important

ABOUT ME

Hello!

I'd call myself easy going. I like getting lost in moments. I enjoy feeling part of something bigger, and exploring things or ideas with a sense of wonder. I don't like being in a rush, nor having to do things for the sake of doing them.

I'm slightly afraid of bees. I think it's because I haven't been stung by one yet.

I've got a fairly dry and absurd sense of humour, and I love a good bit of banter. Anyone who can laugh at themselves is a friend of mine

My favourite parts of travelling involve tapping into the local experience, interacting with others and soaking up as much as I can. I find travelling is also a really good time for thinking

PHILOSOPHY

I'm trying as hard as I can to really listen to people, to be open and really acknowledging what they have to say.

I believe that it's really important to share with others, whether its a favour, time or a connection.

Honesty and sincerity are great guides for life

Music, Movies, and Books

I try to get a bit of variety but of course I have my favourites.

Writers that I really enjoy are David Foster Wallace, Hemmingway, Murakami, Bukowski and Vonnegut. I think they write about life in a way that I agree with.

I really like Wes Anderson and that style of offbeat cinema that plucks your heartstrings but is original and fresh and all sorts of things at once.
Then again I love Daniel Day Lewis and Gary Oldman when they're playing villains.

When it comes to music, I try to listen to a lot of things but I end up having a few bands that I listen to repeatedly. These would be Digable Planets, A Tribe Called Quest, The Rolling Stones, TV on the Radio.

I like talking about things I like, and am always willing to share and try other things. I'll give things a try, and won't necessarily like it, but I'll always give an honest opinion!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I live for those small, amazing moments where everything is beautiful and all seems well.

Teach, Learn, Share

We could do something outside? I like rock climbing, skiing and snowboarding - if you do any of these I'll be right in the car ready to go.

Walks around town are really nice as well, I think all my most interesting conversations have started off as walks

I also like to cook, and I cook with a lot of vegetables so your stomach won't feel upset afterwards.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Cuba, Fiji, Hong Kong, Japan, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Tanzania, United States
