Mixture of an engineer and something more artistic. I don't like competitions. This is an advantage and disadvantage at the same time. I live in London and planning to stay for good. I am totally in love with this city, keen on getting to know it more and more, comparing it to my home country, Hungary, which is unfortunately going back in time, and sliding down the... something ugly. It's so interesting to see that how different the aproach and reaction to the same issues here and there, and how the locals see themselves and their problems. Workwise it's a bit of a rought ride but interesting.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used to do home exchange a lot and even worked for homeexchange.com (my flat: https://www.homeexchange.com/homes/view/98659) for a few years, so very much open to the idea (and practice) of letting others stay at my place and do the same. I did host a few people (mostly couples) at my place back in Hungary but it's not so easy as I live in London and it's either a room or a small flat where it's not allowed. I'm on to having a nicer bigger place and getting back to home exchanging.

Merle's books set in modern time, movies of Wim Wenders, Hal Hartley, Ang Lee, Woody Allen, Luc Besson, Wes Anderson... mostly the earlier ones. Angels from "Wings of Desire". Though provoking comedies too. Late night shopping, Lost in translation, Rushmore. I loved Twin Peaks, Northern Exposure, Friends, Coupled, Ally McBeal, House MD and You're the worst. Music from Simon & Garfunkel to U2 to Magnetic Fields to Patsy Kline. Choosy in everything, food too. Some russian stuff, through the family.

Smuggle East Germans throught the border to Austria back when Germany was divided to East and West. Or maybe that website I did for all the libraries in Hungary?
