About Me

Hello to every CS fellow! I am Andrii from Ukraine, I left my hometown when I was just 16 to go to study abroad and since then been trapped in the this beautiful undiscovered world, in the journey of life, travelling and exploring! If you like spontaneous and chill travels - you are on my wavelength! Basically, I am very open-minded, like to do different interesting activities, learn new things... a lot.. in interesting and alternative ways. For me, best way to travel is by GETTING LOST in the new place and immersing myself into the local scene. I am interested in many things (too many ha) because there are still so many cool things to learn! Recently I did a Masters’s Degree in Human Rights and made a research on Eurovision :D Undoubtedly, I am in love with learning languages and International Relations, Cultures, always open to share my Ukrainian culture and my experience from other countries where I lived! Also, eager to listen and talk to fellow CSs who have done cool things and adventures as well! I like sustainability, camping, tracking, everything connected with the NATURE A LOT!!! Deep meaningful conversations, hikes, drinks, laugh, smiles keep me going through this interesting life we have ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love visiting new places and traveling with a limited budget, along with meeting new, positive people! I think this is the best way to learn the culture, find the most coolest and open people and learn the language if needed :D

Interests

Too many, but languages, camping, and Eurovisionology for sure :P

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went for an exchange program to the US, which was a kickstarter in my adult abroad life. Also, worked as an interpreter for a few years all over China, which has changed my vision about the world at once! Parallel Universe! Lived in Malaysia during Pandemic. Studied Human Rights in Italy and Brazil! I had crazy stories from my backpacking adventure in South America like crazy crazy! 🤪 Went to a Mexican wedding.

Teach, Learn, Share

Can teach languages I know and open to learn new ones. Fun fact - I worked as a simultaneous interpreter in the past, so I can switch between languages quite easily and we can do that for fun :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Positive atmosphere and information about Ukraine and our culture, as well as the other places I have been to! Good laughter, I always try to smile, no matter what life brings :)
