I'm an outgoing typical British chap who has recently been bitten by the travelling bug... if you didn't get that it means that all I want to do now is travel, not that I've actually been bitten by something.

I'm trying to stick to a tight budget whilst also looking for the cool hiking locations. I do enjoy visiting the odd city and old town for the culture, but there is only so much eating/drinking and sightseeing I can do in one place. I like to find the hidden treasures of a place I'm staying in!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet new people all the time and staying in hostels usually does that, but of course, these people are not local to the areas so I never get to know the local customs etc.

In a few places I met up with some locals within the area and discovered the additional wealth of knowledge the locals give you, be it food, history or just cool places to see.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have jumped off a suspended platform 134m above a rocky valley floor before plummeting to my death for 8 seconds.

I might add that there was an elastic chord strapped to my ankles.
