Retired from police at 55 years old after 10 years on front line to enjoy life and travel again.

Hoping to see some amazing places again and meet some great people

UPDATE OCTOBER 2019

I have just finished 1 year of backpacking around England and Scotland Wales and Ireland staying with many incredibly amazing CS hosts

A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO everyone who has helped me along the way

In November I start a year of backpacking around India and Sri Lanka

I hope to meet many more special new friends a long the way 😊😊

Note..... When I eventually stop travelling I will be welcoming all fellow CS travellers wherever I end up.

UPDATE AUGUST 2020

Managed 5 incredible months travelling half of India meeting the best people
Then Covid struck a fatal blow to travel as we know it in March
I made it as far as Kerela and spent 4 months there

Hoping to continue this adventure sometime soon 🤞🙏😊

On the road again and still in India

UPDATE JULY 2021
Just spent 2 months travelling around the Southern Mountains and Himalayas Kashmir Ladakh
Now returned to Arambol Goa for a few months rest and beach time 😊

UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2021
Leaving India after 2 years and heading to Greece and then Cyprus for a month or two before returning to the UK 🇮🇳🇨🇾🇬🇧

UPDATE MARCH 22

Returned to UK after exploring Greece and Cyprus for 4 months
Spent a few months visiting friends and Family
Now I am on the Road again with some African Adventures ahead
Starting here in Malawi then backpacking around all the neighboring countries for a year or more

UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2022

I have just spent 3 months travelling around Malawi and Zambia
Now in Botswana for 3 months then Namibia and South Africa
The journey continues

UPDATE JUNE 2023

I reached the most Southerly point in Africa and now I intend to spend the next 2 years travelling back to the UK by land and sea

Rough idea is Namibia Botswana Zimbabwe Zambia Malawi Tanzania Uganda Kenya Ethiopia Eritrea
Then a slow boat to Cairo Egypt or Israel
Then maybe Turkey or Greece through to France and a channel swim home 🤪

UPDATE AUGUST 2025

I travelled up through Africa from SA to Kenya, then a friend asked me to be his best man at his wedding in Malawi, so travelled back down through Tanzania and am now back in Lillongwe Malawi
Now the plan is 3 months Malawi 1 month Mozambique then fly back to UK to plan the next adventure

I hope to meet many more AMAZING couch surfers on route

I have seen and done so many amazing things but being in the police put me in a situation where I was privileged enough to assist in making a difference in some lives and even saving a life which gave me an outlook of, live for now and make the most of every precious minute
