Amanda and Andy here! Two fun-loving people looking to connect with people and communities around the world.

Andy - I have worked as a rock climbing guide for kids for 3 years and love getting outside to explore. I've worked with non-profits in Guatemala, Ecuador, Uganda, Spain, and the US. I love helping people and sharing a good laugh (hopefully with some chocolate or coffee).

Amanda - She is a wonderful person who has worked in healthcare and disaster response around the world. Very interested in connecting with local communities, especially with kids. A caring person that is passionate about plants, nature, and eco building.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet local people to see how they live, as opposed to what a tourist might see. To share fun times and good conversation with good people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Andy - Reading a lot of Wendell Berry now. Very into Spanish music, particularly Residente and Natalia Lafourcade. Hot Rod is my favorite movie and I love stand up comedy.

Amanda - Likes atmospheric music and random songs on the street. Loves reading about ecology. Samsara is the movie for her.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Andy - I went on a motorcycle trip around Ecuador to find the best chocolate (the goal is to find the best chocolate in the world).

Amanda - Taught a monkey CPR in Ecuador.

Teach, Learn, Share

Both Outdoor Educators, very good at teaching outdoor skills, games, and sports. Known great card games and others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Laughs, cooking, language, and many great stories around good food.
