I’d describe myself as humble, honest, optimistic and respectful. Just adjectives I know, but they are the describing words. I'm keen to get involved in and learn as much about whatever takes my interest, which has led me to do a lot of travel, and satisfy creative impulses through music and art.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've just joined (June 2010), partly out of curiosity, partly because I have a trip to the US coming up in August and would like to meet some locals there.

I'd also like to keep meeting travelers in Brisbane from abroad because I've valued those kinds of experiences every time I've traveled. We can check out some bars or bands, ride the citycat, just wander about or chat over a coffee. Send me a message..

Tough section. Who to include, who to leave out? iTunes tells me that my most frequently played artists are M. Ward, Faithless, Nick Drake, Air, Beck, and Groove Armada? (that can’t be right)

I often have a few books on the go at once. Non-fiction is taking over my reading urges; I'd recommend recent good reads ‘The Pleasures and Sorrows of Work’ Alain de Botton and 'Stasiland' Anna Funder.

Some favourite films: Its a Wonderful Life, Withnail & I, Bladerunner, Look Both Ways, Star Wars, The Good The Bad and The Ugly...

Just one? First to mind is arriving at Annapurna base camp (Nepal), altitude headache, sore legs, after 4 days wonderful hiking in perfect clear weather and the Himalaya all around.

I can teach how to play guitar, draw and paint, basic Japanese and Spanish, the fundamentals of information systems (that should get your attention!)
