About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finish learning French, drink lots of Grey Goose while contributing to the welfare of humankind.

ABOUT ME

I'm well read and I make good conversation. I like books and magazines, movies, working out, and social life. Also, I play music. I play piano and I used to sing. Sometimes I write, mostly notebooks of sarcastic remarks but occasionally an essay or two.

In school I studied philosophy and classics. I do my best to be a man of parts, and I'm good at a lot of things. Ideas, the arts, and the life of the senses are my main occupations. I love beautiful things of all kinds and especially, as a distinguished person once put it, "useless and beautiful things."

At the top of my list are, among other things, Visconti's The Leopard, T.S. Eliot, Sebastien Tellier, Sofia Coppola's Somewhere, Pascal, The Sun Also Rises, Chopin, Joan Didion, L'Avventura etc.

In terms of food and all that, my very favorite category is steak & seafood (lobster mac is a favorite), but I also like Indian food and Mexican a lot. I mostly drink vodka (gimlets) and I like to smoke cigarettes, especially illegal ones from other countries.

As far as the ladies, I suppose I like a little bit of everything, but Joan Holloway is great, also Carla Gugino and that girl from the AT&T commercials. I also have a thing for smart girls who talk well, with that sort of soft growl thing that they do. Relatively fit with something to grab on to is generally what I'm looking for.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in civilization.
