ABOUT ME
I thrive on challenge and simplicity and shared experiences. I love the outdoors rain or shine. I believe in community and generosity and that the most worthwhile experiences in life are the simplest.
My personality is easy going and accommodating - it's pretty certain that we'll get along just fine. I'm looking forward to all the people out there to meet.
PHILOSOPHY
Do everything with intention, find the joy in it, and always remember why you're doing it.
I'm not Buddhist but this resonates. I've seen this attributed to Buddha:
"Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.”
Interests
I love bike touring. Baking bread on a rainy day. Drinking beer on the porch with friends. Strategic board games. Cooking for others and sharing meals.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a raging crush on Trampled by Turtles, classic punk rock, and late-90s emo.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2011 on a bike tour in Canada we did a 13 mile climb of several thousand feet and then raced down the other side of the pass just ahead of an approaching thunderstorm. Rain hit like BBs, wind was lashing the trees, and our bags caught the gusts like sails. The plunge was exhilarating in a way that I rarely have a chance to experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you to make bread, adjust your derailer, or program in C. You could teach me anything - I'm interested in everything
