Hello everyone!

My name is Ane, I'm originally from Bilbao and have always lived here, except for a year when I lived abroad, in Québec (Canada) for a university exchange program. I really loved the experience and being able to know the country, its people and its cold climate (well,the last one not so much hehe).

I've studied Translation and Interpreting but then I made a master on teaching so since then, I work as a French teacher.

I enjoy learning new languages and cultures, and whenever I can, I go out to explore the world.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because, as a traveller, my best and most memorable travel experiences ever have always been with locals.
I also think that the best way to get to know and understand a country it is first knowing its people.

As a host, I have met very different and interesting people from everywhere with whom I have been able to share not only my house but also good times, cultural exchanges, long conversations (about almost everything), recipes...

The worst? When people think they come to a free hostel/hotel, that's not Cs. But fortunately, it hasn’t happened to me much.

Although I can't host people now, I hope to do so in the future.

In almost all my references you will see the name of my friend Mónica. Since we started traveling together, we have always used my profile to do Cs (as travelers and hosts). She used to do Cs before, but her profile was a shared one with a very good friend of her.

兴趣

I like sports, I think I'm an active person and I used to play basketball, but now I enjoy swimming, hiking, walking the dog or just going to the gym.
I also enjoy listening to music, drawing, reading and cooking (especially desserts). Learning new languages is also my passion.

I like all kinds of music, but I especially love jazz, reggae and hip hop. And I played the piano for 10 years when I was younger (now I can play it but not as well as I'd like to).

It's very difficult to choose just one movie or book, but I love reading historical fiction books and I prefer to watch fantasy, horror, historical or comedy movies.

It may not be something very amazing, but for me it was :) Swimming in bioluminescent water and being able to see the Northern Lights.
