ABOUT ME

hello! I'm Annamaria, and my biggest interests are culinary mushrooms, and reading. I'm a student in Budapest, Hungary on the natural sciences department of ELTE, where I'm learning environmental studies. While I am taking my sweet time getting my degree, it is mostly within my grasp by now.

I speak and read english fluently, and started practicing my german again. I enjoy nature, and old towns. I'm a moderately experienced hitchhiker (5+ years!) and a cat person.

I recently started to cook for myself. I'm still a novice, but enthusiastic.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I participate as a traveler for now, since I live with my parents and they don't speak foreign languages well.

I found that Couchsurfing is a more immersive, and also safer way of traveling. I started doing it because I wanted to travel when I couldn't afford to, and stayed, because I admire it's spirit. One day when I have my own place, I hope I can start hosting as well to give back to the community.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I prefer movies with elaborate storylines, that can be discussed and debated late on, or just movies with interesting concepts.

I prefer my music to be either something ambient that can run in the background while I'm reading or studying, or something loud and energetic for doing chores with energy. My latest favourites are oriental folk music and bhangra.

I usually read fantasy and scifi literature. My latest big read was the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett.

If you are interested in hitchhiking, I can give some pointers for getting started, and staying safe.

I can make french braid, dutch braid, crown braid, and chignon.

I have a qualification for inspecting mushrooms in hungarian marketplaces and know abut identifying edible and poisonous mushrooms that can be found in most of Europe.
