About Me
Hi,
My name is Angela. After having a life changing trip in Bali and Thailand last year I decided to pack up my life, leave my home in Austin, TX, and backpack the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am most interested in meeting people from different cultures and places and making friends around the world. Because I am traveling solo I would love to meet people that are eager to explore their own backyard and introduce me to all of their favorite places.
Interests
I love anything to do with being outside in nature... hiking, swimming, running, exploring and being active. I also love curling up in a hammock or a beautiful place with a book and glass of wine. I enjoy having deep conversations with "strangers" who become family, listening to live music, and drinking a cold brew in a local pub.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love listening to a wide variety of different music. Currently I have been into more mellow sounds like: Vance Joy, James Bay, The Lumineers, etc. I love anything with a good beat, or anything that makes me get up and want to dance :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sold all my things, left my family and friends back home, and followed my dream to travel the world :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I am an Exercise Science major and love to be active and help others along their path. I also just completed my TEFL Certification (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) in June and would love to help anyone improve their English, as well as help improve my foreign language skills (which, to be frank, are lacking)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my friendly disposition, interesting conversation, and inspiration/zest for life. I know I don't have a lot of experience with couchsurfing, but I would love the opportunity to get to know you and to (hopefully) form a friendship that lasts a lifetime.
