Solo female traveler with no driver's license. I'm coming to USA for eight weeks, flying on 29th April. Maybe I am a crazy person. So far I have a place to stay in New York for a week and Niagara Falls for two days.

I'm bringing a small tent and sleeping bag with me so if know any good places to camp that would be good too.

I want to see Starry Night by Van Gogh, The Wave by Hokusai, Niagara Falls, Glacier Park, Grand Canyon, Mark Rothko Chapel, Peace Pilgrim Park. The aim is to round it off in Queens, New York, at the USA Origami Convention.

Will be folding a thousand peace cranes on the way.

I've just finished eight years in the Merchant Navy. Now it's time to really see the world.

I have worked and lived abroad teaching English as a Foreign Language.

I do gardening and am currently a volunteer gardener in my local park.

I discovered Origami in 2002 and am a member of the British Origami Society. I fold and teach as much as I can. I am hoping to fold 1000 Peace Cranes during my trip and will be encouraging everyone I meet to join in.

I have done a lot of voluntary work in my life and find it very rewarding.

I am a solo woman traveler so like to feel safe wherever I am.

I think it will be very exciting to meet people who are so generous with their space and time, in a world where nothing is free.

I also want to start hosting people on Merseyside.

Who knows? I may end up going round the whole world.
