About Me

I'm 34 years-old and I've been living in Madrid for 3 years. I've spent most of my adult life in Italy (Rome and Sicily), where I studied and worked for almost 8 years. My partner is Italian and I still have a lot of friends living there.
I love travelling, writing, reading, music and watching movies. I share these passions with different friends and relatives, and I like to explore the world - when possible!
My next challenge is to finish my first novel, which I started 3 years ago.
I cannot host people in my home (too small), but I can give advice about Madrid, Valencia, Palermo, Murcia and Rome!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've heard from some friends that this is a good way to meet new people in your own city or abroad and I wanted to experience it!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: indie folk, indie rock, classic, some pop music and some nowadays songs or artist which I'm very ashamed of telling.
Movies: this year I've seen some excellent movies: Call me by your name, Lady Bird, The disaster artist and Three billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri. Classic movies include Indiana Jones or The Goonies. Spanish movies that I recommend: Noviembre, Tarde para la Ira.
Books: I love to discover authors and different writing styles, as part of my self-training. I love Auster. Last year I read three very good novels /graphic novels: La ferocia (Nicola Lagioia, in Italian), Bear (Marian Engel) and Are you my mother? (Alison Bechdel). And I'm still looking for my Patronus...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed two active vulcanos (Etna and Stromboli).

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to learn about local music, traditions, ways of living, food, history, films, etc. of the places I will visit.
I studied Political Science and worked almost 7 years in a non-profit organisation. I would like to share the views about the world with people who can help me to see it from a different perspective.
I don't know if I can teach something, but I have two or three ideas about Creative Thinking techniques to think out of the box... and have fun!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share what I know about the two countries where I've lived (Spain and Italy), some receipes and the music I enjoy the most.
I can also share my life experiences, stories about my trips, my friends, my lovers...
And I can spend the evening talking in different languages and trying to remember the French I learnt when I was a child.
