About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live a life of purpose. To love and be loved.

ABOUT ME

I have just started a Master's program in French Literature at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I hope to become a French professor one day!

PHILOSOPHY

I'm here to be an example of God's love and grace.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just came back from living and teaching in France. One of the best parts of my experience in France was couch surfing. I was able to discover a lot more about the places I visited and french culture and language through couch surfing experiences, both hosting and surfing. I hope that I will have a chance to help others explore the US a bit now.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went to France to learn the language and the culture, so, in terms of travelling, couch surfing was the best! I could learn more about the real life in the towns I visited, and get an inside scoop on what to do and see. I think it would be fun to extend that same hospitality to people who come to explore where I am from.

Interests

I love to paint, dance, work with kids. I am Christian and very involved in Church stuff. I am interested in wine and cooking, photography (although my brother is the real photographer). I would like to start a garden. I am planning to train for a 1/2 marathon with my boyfriend.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read lots and lots of french books- that is about it these days. my newest literary hero is Marguerite Duras.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am amazed daily by all sorts of things, the kindness of strangers, the beauty of a simple flower, etc, so it is hard to say...

Teach, Learn, Share

my favorite part about staying with people was to hear stories, practice speaking french with native speakers, and understand a little more about french lifestyle. I can share all of that with people who visit me (well for english and the US)
