ABOUT ME

I'm originally from Natchez, MS, but haven't lived there in 10 years. I've spent the last 10 years going to school in Louisiana & New Jersey, traveling, living, and working abroad, and helping run a home for women & children in New Orleans... I love New Orleans- love the sun, love that no one is on time, and love music in the streets... Hope you come visit!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

hosting & surfing... but, my participation has been minimal so far, but am looking to participate more...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had limited couch surfing experience, but my limited experience thus far has been wonderful! I've only couch surfed on short weekend trips so far. I live in an intentional community in New Orleans and we've hosted a lot of people (friends & strangers) on our couches over the past 3 years- many were not specifically through couch surfing... But, that experience has also been positive...

Movies: Happy Feet & a lot of documentaries

Music: All kinds of music, but usually songs that make me want to dance

Books: so many... a lot of poetry, liberation theology, Waiting for God by Simone Weil...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to see a momma sea turtle lay almost 100 eggs... beautiful...

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach/share: I don't have a ton of talents to share with you... but I can show you beautiful places & people here...

Learn: I want to learn more American Sign Language, and really, want to learn anything about any place that I'm visiting... about food, people (individuals & communities), cultures, languages...
