ABOUT ME

I grew up in the Midwestern US, I was born in Korea. My fluent language is English and I can read/write some French. I speak it terribly and have a terrible ear for those who are fluent in it.

I like to stay active and have a bad habit of trying to commit to more than I can possibly do.

I'm pretty quiet and low key, I don't think I'm exciting. New experiences are great and provide excitement. No need to stir up more drama. Like spontaneity though my lifestyle doesn't really find it agreeable. Planning is a necessary evil.

Being a pack rat though not a hoarder. I set rules like: buy a book, give away a book. One-in-one out. Because I am not a materialistic person. I do like quality/performance/longevity in some aspects.

I try to be mindful of resources. recycle, use public transit. No need to be militant about it so I'm somewhere in the middle.

PHILOSOPHY

According to John Itten, "Color is life."
Trust intuition even when you want it to be wrong.
Share the joys and celebrate the good times with those you cherish.
If you don't want to fix it or don't want help solving a problem, please don't waste time to whine and complain.
To sum up my religious creeds: universal unitarian. It's okay if you don't believe what I choose, just please be respectful and not try to promote your own faith/religious views.

Fond of animals, in terms of causes... people and children as a priority.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host for one night and based on a work and school schedule. I am sorry most of the time I will not be able to show you around the area, and may not even be able to feed you, but I like to meet new people and hear of their travels. I can offer a place for you to sleep and shower.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

New to CS. My friend told me about the CS concept. She's a hitch hiker.

Interessi

I find enjoyment from a great many things.

Arts: sewing, drawing, computer generated, festivals, collaborative events, mixed media, self-taught with photography

English: reading/writing.

Food: I love cooking for other people and if time allows I may be able to cook for you.

Video Games: I like to play RPGs mostly. Naturally there's exceptions.
Electronics: a majority of women are into fashion/shopping. I prefer electronics.
Appreciation and not much knowledge of classic cars, home improvement/DIY.

Musica, film e libri

Cinema: I don't follow celebrities or pop culture but I like to analyze and critic films. I'll watch anything mentioned by Sundance and Toronto, I seek out Asian films, other foreign films, and try to attend at least one film festival a year. I also like to watch the director's commentary version of films

Music: for a few years I made it a point to attend concerts. I've met quite a few groups like Ill Nino, Disturbed, Bullet for my Valentine, Static X.

Books: even with technology, there's nothing quite like holding a book in your hand/lap, and getting lost in it. I love Calvin and Hobbes, Squee, and Dr. Seuss. I have a list of book titles I slowly work through.

Seen a great many things. Not too many of them are short enough to describe here.

Trained my cat to use a port-a-potty. Part of it involved the use of a steel colander. It's better on the environment and more sanitary. Didn't want to own pets because as someone who has an active lifestyle, it's selfish to own pets unless able to be home to give the animal enough care, attention, and stimulation. Same with procreating. The cat I have now was a gift.
