ABOUT ME

i love people. but i'm not chatty. i'd rather talk real stuff than cocktail party stuff anyday. if i could i would spend all my time making music and raising my daughter and playing in the woods/lake/ocean. I always thought i'd live in a commune; hasn't happened yet. i figure the reason we're here is to remember who we are, and offer something to others.

oh, and i don't smoke/drink/eat flesh.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

the usual crazy hitchiking trips in my 20s, random folks at concerts, gatherings, etc. ...most recent was in ghana, where i slept in some pretty wild places.

reggae, afrobeat, bluegrass, folk. latest favs are antibalas. traditional african music is what i play. and a little guitar & harmony.

i mostly read eastern philosophy kinds of books, and then the piles of books on music & culture for school.
