Born & raised in NJ, lived in Paris my sophomore year of HS, moved to NYC for college, studied abroad in Central America (Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua), lived & worked for two years in Senegal with the Peace Corps, & now living in Harlem, NYC with my husband & cat.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1) When my villager's hut and stable caught on fire and I had to help put it out
2) When I wasn't allowed to board a plane because the crew mistakenly thought bringing a cat onto a plane was illegal and watched the plane leave without me after I had given away my phone and all my money and it took me another 2.5 days to finally get on a plane and go home
3) When I heard about two city slickers who went hiking in the Adirondacks relying on the GPS on their phones as a compass
