Being a tourist its more than just take pictures to put on your Instagram. You have to feel the place. If you dont understand the local culture, you're never been there for real. The better way to do this is living like a citizen, share what they are eating, drink of the same water and learn their language (or even their religion). With these points, maybe you can really say that you know the place. After that, you respect their culture, their tradition and their people as weel.
Thats why I wanna Couchsurf. To know people and really know places.
