ABOUT ME

I think I will write a book about my life at some point. My life has been filled with so much fun, unusual, and exciting experiences! I am so spontaneous and my motto in life is "no regrets". Therefore, anything that I put my mind to, I have to do it. For example, my senior year of college, I decided to push my graduation back and study abroad in Costa Rica. The funny thing about this situation was that once I decided to do it, I had about two weeks to turn everything in and it was a total last minute decision. However, I did know that I wanted to learn another language fluently, so I knew that that would have been the best way to go. I had so much fun and it was definitely a life changing decision that still affects me til this very day.
Currently, I live in Oakland California. I moved here about a year and a half ago, and this was a last minute decision as well. I quit my job, packed my car full of clothes and my Bob Marley poster and headed across country. When I arrived in California, I just drove up the coast and visited just about every city until I reached the Bay Area, and I felt like I was right at home. Mind you, I had never been to the Bay Area before arriving.
Doing random things that completely fulfill you spiritually is what life is all about!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am on CS to offer my couch... Actually I have a spare room! I would like to also travel and meet new people. As I work on my Masters in Linguistics (teaching english as a second language) ... I think having the hands on experience of traveling and meeting new people and cultures will help me to apply my knowledge from school with real world experiences, and vice versa.

I have hosted before through an international host organization. I love it, and I learn so much!

I love music from everywhere... I like the author Deepaak Chopra, Seven Spiritual laws of success, the Celestine Prophecy, and I would have to say that my movie is the Lion King...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I've done was travel across the United states with only 1200 dollars and made it to California which is where I am currently residing and I truly believe that I was only able to make it this far by giving, giving, giving. My philosophy is when you want something, give something.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my techniques on how to learn new languages, and how to assimilate yourself in different cultures. I would like to learn how other people do this as well.
