About Me

Hey! I’m Angie, a Colombian undergraduate student studying Agronomic Engineering, currently doing an academic exchange at Purdue University in the United States. I’d describe myself as sociable and curious—I’m always excited to have meaningful conversations and connect with new people. I love learning about different cultures and sharing experiences.

Lately, I’ve also been diving into the world of cooking. Before, I was just making simple meals to survive 😅, but now I’m learning how to cook delicious dishes, and it’s been a lot of fun experimenting in the kitchen!

I enjoy discovering new perspectives on life, and my journey here has been full of learning, both academically and personally. I’m open to new experiences and love sharing stories from my life in Colombia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I want to have authentic experiences during my travels. Instead of staying in hotels, I prefer to immerse myself in the local culture, see the world from the perspective of the people who live there, and meet new people along the way. I’m always looking to exchange ideas, have interesting conversations, and of course, learn about new cultures and cuisines. Every conversation is an opportunity to discover something new!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of Spanish music, but lately, I’ve been getting into some indie bands that have really captivated me. As for books, my favorite is Siddhartha by Herman Hesse. It resonates with me deeply, especially because it aligns with the phase of life I’m currently in, where I'm exploring more about personal growth, inner peace, and finding my own path.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’d say one of the most remarkable things I’ve done so far is embrace change and personal growth. Moving abroad for my academic exchange, stepping out of my comfort zone, and immersing myself in new cultures has been incredibly transformative. It’s not a single event, but a continuous journey of self-discovery, and I’m excited to see where it leads me.
