Overview
About Me
March 2025: We should be putting up our pop-up camper soon and will be considering requests as the weather gets warmer here.
PLEASE NOTE: We are in Washington State, NOT Washington DC. We are 2,560 miles from our nation's capital (WA DC).
Please check your maps before making a request to stay. I have had four requests recently from people that really were looking for a couch in WA DC.
CURRENT MISSION--
I am enjoying my life and forever learning. I am grateful for everyday and make the most of every opportunity.
ABOUT ME
I am a down-to-earth, country-living, farm-oriented mother of identical twin 34-year-old daughters, a 27-year-old daughter and a 20-year-old son, all still living here at home. I grew up in the Portland/Vancouver area but consider Colville my home now (since 1994). Taking care of my family on our farm is my passion. My husband and I farm 130 acres of alfalfa hay and milk five Jersey cows and six Alpine goats (certified raw dairy since September 2012). I enjoy a good coffee (decaf these days), CrossFit type workouts and a good micro-beer. Dennis likes farming, golf and 'deer watching' (there are many white tailed deer that frequent our fields and mountain). My kids love living on a farm and help with every aspect. We often camp up at our cabin and enjoy our own private lake and hiking.
PHILOSOPHY
I am grateful for all of my life experiences because it has shaped who I am and gave me compassion and understanding for others. I believe it is so important to be open-minded and accepting of others' beliefs and opinions while developing and pursuing my own worldview and values.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy all sorts of music; worship music, Irish, rock, classical.
I love to read apologetics books, how-to books, guide and references books. The book I read most is the Bible.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most memorable events in my life was finding out I was having twins. I thought I won the lottery and I still think so! So honored to be the momma of Claire and Ellie!
Another one would have to be finding my husband unconscious in the barn, having been hit in the head with his chainsaw. We have learned so much from this experience and found out what it is liked to be helped by complete strangers, that even though my husband was injured (he still doesn't remember the incident or the pain), we wouldn't change a thing about it!
Teach, Learn, Share
I have trained several horses. I milk cows and goats and sheep, trim hooves, feed and do general care of all sorts of animals. I grow and sell hay. I am learning how to make cheese. I can identify most plants/animals/birds in my area.
