I'm originally from Singapore and am currently studying my undergrad in the US. I'm working towards a double major in Economics and History. At school, I am a news writer for the student newspaper, volunteer to lead middle school students on weekly outdoor hikes and trips, and lead the international students' club, advocating for the unique needs of other international students like me. In the future, I hope to enter the journalism or education nonprofit space.

Having grown up in a big city, I've always enjoyed meeting people from all sorts of places and learning about different cultures. I love solo travel and getting lost in a city while people-watching, but I would also love to meet more travelers and locals to have a great time with!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've gone on several solo trips before but have always stayed in hotels or Airbnbs, and while I really enjoy immersing myself in a new place alone, I've realised that I would also like to meet other locals or travelers to explore with.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last winter, I signed up for a school hiking club trip to Joshua Tree National Park in California, where we spent 10 days in the backcountry hiking across the different trails in the desert. The highlight of this was a 37-mile trail that had some incredible mountain views. I'd never met most of these people before and had never been in a desert, so this was a huge leap of faith for me, but I had a great time and made many new friends.
