Overview
About Me
Hello, my name is Anh-Tu! I'm currently a 2nd year student at UC Berkeley studying Business Administration and Operations Research. I was born and raised in Vietnam but have moved around in Southern California and the Bay Area.
Before going to college, I spent a gap year to live and work as an English teacher and farmer in Senegal. Within the past few years, I also got several opportunities to fly to different places around the world and have met some of the most interesting people ever! I love learning about new cultures (especially about local languages) so I would love to learn more about where my hosts are from!
Outside of classes, I like to travel, try out new restaurants, listen to podcasts, and currently learning photography!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing to hear different people's stories! From living in Senegal to traveling in Guatemala, I have met some of the most interesting people with stories unlike any others. Living with host families in these various places have made me appreciate learning the culture from locals instead of just what is publicized to tourists.
Some of my friends have couchsurfed before and they all have had amazing experiences, so I would love the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone again and learn from my hosts!
