ABOUT ME

I think what describes me most adequately is my insatiable thirst for more knowledge and more experience. I'm interested in people and design, so becoming a User Experience researcher has proved the best possible job for me. It gives me great pleasure to learn, to explore, and this is one of many reasons why I like travelling so much. I love interacting with people from other cultures, I feel this is the best way to broaden your horizons and become truly open-minded. Foreign languages are my great passion, every now and then I feel this great urge to learn a new language - however, truth be told, laziness normally takes over after some time and I give it up ;) Until now I have only mastered the English language and have a fairly good French and have only the basics of German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Russian. I can feel a new urge coming - will probably be one of the Scandinavian languages, but it hasn't crystallized in my mind yet :)

PHILOSOPHY

The older I get the more I feel I'm not ready to have one. There's a lot to learn and to explore before I can formulate one.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been to a number of parties with couch-surfers in Krakow and know a few members personally and have wanted to participate more actively for some time now. I love having people over too, I always learn something new from my guests too, and like I've said many times - I like learning new things :-)

兴趣

Flamenco, snowboarding, wakeboarding, and rollerblading.
Also, I've recently started learning to play the cello. Who says you can't start to play a musical instrument at 30? :-)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

This happened during my last trip to Greece. In quite untypical circumstances, I ended up having lunch and drinking raki with a brilliant bookstore owner outside his shop in Heralkion, with his friend and two customers who only came to the shop to buy some souvenirs. I spent about 5 hours with those complete strangers (at first) pondering life questions, talking about literature, art, ancient Greece, culture etc. Nikos, the bookstore owner, read us some poems in Greek, also some Greek translations of Zbigniew Herbert, one of my favourite Polish poets. He also asked me to read the original versions to him. It was all so unreal, like some dream, but it reaming one of the memories I cherish the most.

I can speak to you in English, Polish, French, and Russian if you fancy, I can teach you some basic flamenco steps, and if you have a website - I can review it for you and say what could be improved to create a better User Experience for your visitors.
