Hello, Aaron and Anika here ☺️ We are a couple from Vancouver island, Canada and Nice, France. We met while travelling in the Canary Islands, Spain, 5 years ago. Since then we have lived in Mexico, France and are currently on a year-long travel in Asia.
Aaron is a chef who has worked around the world. He loves cooking for people and learning about new food cultures through locals or food tours. I am an engineer in Renewable energy and am currently looking for a job abroad if you know of any leads 😉.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are on couch surfing because we are currently on a year long trip in Asia and we want to experience as much culture and meet as many locals as possible. By experiencing the daily life through couch surfing, we really get a window into local livelihood. As we have been on the road for more than 8 months, we have many stories to share and love to hear about new ones. We are both interested in discussions circulating around the history and politics of the countries we visit. For Aaron, his main goal is to try new food and learn new cooking techniques and for me, I am just happy to eat good food 😁

Interests

We both have some common points of interest like being in nature, camping and hiking in the mountains. Both of us also enjoy learning new things

I love being in nature, camping in the mountains or sailing at sea are when I feel the best.
I've danced my entire life and try new ones all the time. We are currently learning tango with Aaron.
I like trying new things. Aaron's favourite hobby is scuba diving, he is a Dive master
