ABOUT ME

We are a young couple of creative individuals. Anika owns an one woman advertising agency (www.wolkenstuermer-design.de) and works at home next to the living room. Jörn is an architect and works in an office in Braunschweig. We love life and so it was about time to join the CouchSurfer community.

Additional to the jobs, that earn our money, we are members of the semi-professional alternative rock band "Mother Black Cat" (www.motherblackcat.de). Especially on weekends, it might be, that we have a gig, to which you are of course invited!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Our idea of hospitality is to offer space and friendship, help with information and communication and always respect the guest’s privacy. We do not urge you to spend your time with us, but if you like to, we offer you more than just a couch, starting with a good breakfast.

Since now, we hosted a few couchsurfers and our experience has been very good, without exception.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jörn: I have seen crowds of a thousand people going nuts to our music. That's pure adrenaline. And in traveling I have seen a blue sky over Irelands hightest mountain pass. Such a view is multiplied if you know, that you earned it with your own muscles, travelling by bike!

Anika: To see people cry for joy when I am singing on a wedding, to get them dancing in front of the stage of our band, to hear them sing our lyrics – these are special moments for me. And of course setting up business was the most exiting thing I ever did, yet.
In traveling I did enjoy sitting in a meadow full of peppermint growing wild somewhere in spain. And I loved our honeymoon in the scottish highlands very much!

Teach, Learn, Share

There are many things, one can learn from another. If you are asked, you can answer. If you can't answer, you can research and learn together. We would love to learn from our guests about their culture and experiences, but also how they experienced our city.
