ABOUT ME

I am a mixed media artist, with a busy practice and make drawings and installations. Love to travel and meet people and have decided that every summer I want to visit a new city/ country. I am social, enjoy people, and have an open and tolerant attitude. I laugh a lot and have an irreverent sense of humor. I teach and make art for a living and am very grateful for what I do. Wherever I go usually my first destination is an art museum. I also love historic neighborhoods/ architecture. Lastly I love to cook and am a good but intuitive cook.

PHILOSOPHY

I live to educate, share, learn and inform about the human spirit through my art and teaching. I believe in being open and receptive to outside influences.

I am willing to host, and have a couch and sometimes a full bed (when son is absent).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

New member so will see how it goes.
Am interested in hosting and will provide a key, bed/ couch, sheets/ towels and food if I am cooking. I ask that u be cool and open minded. The duration of your stay depends on how cool u are!

Music, Movies, and Books

Novels such as God of Small Things, have a very eclectic music taste, which includes Indian/ Pakistani and western classical, pop music like Lily Allen, or Adele (new Fave) and pop movies like the X Men/ Star trek, etc. love pop culture.
I do watch foreign films/ dramas but my real life blood during my artistic blocked periods is to watch detective shows/ movies like Wire in the Blood, ha. I am fascinated by smarts, creativity and deductive skills.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Survived my adolescence.

And Making and installing the last 4 installations in NYC, Cancun, New Harmony and Houston dealing with global communication.
