ABOUT ME

Currently I am a single mama of a four year old boy. I sailed here to New Zealand in 2010 and after a lifetime of wandering, found home. Settled life on land is new for me. I am learning how to garden, writing a book and trying to keep up a meditation practice amidst the chaos of child rearing.

PHILOSOPHY

We are all one. We are vibrational beings in this physical realm. When you trust and relax and smile, everything tends to work out.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I tried Couch surfing from a travelers perspective, though I was sailing mostly and never managed to actually stay with anyone from this site. But I think it's a brilliant idea and now that I'm settled I'm giving it a go from the host side.
Any guests we host must be very flexible. My child comes first; sometimes we like to hang out and sometimes we need our space, and sometimes it doesn't work out when we intended it to, so you have to be able to go with the flow. Also we are on a very tight budget so I am happy to contribute to meals ect. but I'm not able to flat out feed people. As a single mom I am a bit stretched as far as giving goes, so I appreciate travelers who are very conscious, helpful and easy (ie; buy your own food, share, clean up after yourself ;)

兴趣

I am into so many things; dancing, costumes, art, my friends, sailing, speaking new languages, painting, rock climbing, reading, writing, running, surfing, diving, the ocean, kids, exploring my internal and the external world. Being happy.

I love music. Salsa, hip hop, anything I can dance to. I've got a pretty wide range. I read a lot. Everything from the Chalice and the Blade- Riane Eisler. Guns Germs and Steel, The Gaia Theory- James e. Lovelock, to Barbara Kingsolver, Tom Robbins, Diana Gaboldon, Ubuntu, Michael Tellinger. Fifth Sacred Thing, Starhawk. Anything I get my hands on really.

If the chance arose I would be happy to share/teach. I have skills in boats and sailing. Cooking healthy veggi meals, meditation, yoga, salsa dancing, carpentry and remodeling boats and houses, landscaping, and probably a whole lot of other things.
