About Me

Hej, I am Anja and I am an open-minded creative student with an inexhaustable thirst for knowledge. I looooove literature and art, thus, I love my studies. I am addicted to make new experiences and to see the world from other people's point of view in order to break the chains of narrow-mindedness, prejudices and injustice.

On the one hand I can spend days in the library, burying myself into my studies and into books or discussing political theories and questions of political and social freedom with my friends. On the other hand, I love to enjoy live: Travelling, going to hardcore/punk/metal concerts, dancing at techno parties, hiking/enjoying nature, sewing clothes and creating stuff, writing, sports and of course, meeting friends and new and old interesting people.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

You meet the most generous and warm-hearted people here. And it's fascinating how quickly you can feel at home at a foreign place.

Politics. Philosophy. Arts. Literature. Theatre. Film. Feminism. Sports. Music.

Music, Movies & Books

Music: Mainly hardcore, punk, crust, metal, but there are many exceptions :) It needs to be emotional (in any sense), melodic, intense, with intelligent lyrics. Some of my favorite bands are: Have Heart, Fall of Efrafa, The Dresden Dolls, Propagandhi.

Film: mainly arthouse movies and non-mainstream films with strange characters and stories and an extraordinary visual language. Some of my favorite films are: Eraserhead (David Lynch), In the mood for love (Wong Kar-Wai), Antichrist (Lars von Trier), The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (Fritz Lang), 21 Grams (Innaritu).

Books: Definitely too many to mention!! I read so much that I will always forget anything good...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to sew (with a sewing machine) or to knit. I'm a good cook and I would love to show you how to make wonderful food and delicious cakes (also vegan if you like!). Of course I would love to tell you something about literature, art, philosophy... if you are interested in.

On the other hand I would be very happy to improve my Italian & French, and I'm interested in learning technical and IT stuff like programming.

Countries I've Visited
