关于我
I'm half Dutch, half Australian but currently living in London, UK (for the past two years).
I have been working for a charity called Sustrans (Sustainable Transport) who works to make it easier for people to walk and cycle. I work in the research team of the charity, helping to measure the impact of the charity's work across the UK.
I plan to travel for six months across Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay and back to Brazil from January to June 2020. A few things I am looking forward to on this trip are practising my Spanish and hiking in Patagonia.
我为什么加入 Couchsurfing
I joined Couchsurfing a long time ago, but haven't been using the account for some time...
Now that I have a big trip across South America planned, I've come back to find hosts and anyone wanting to travel together. A big part of why I have planned the travel across South America is to practice my Spanish, so also interested in opportunities to practice!
兴趣
I am generally a very active person - and interested in any way to get out and about exploring new places (on bike or on foot!).
Additionally, I like learning languages and would appreciate any chance to practice either my French or Spanish.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情
I grew up in five countries (Namibia, Pakistan, Laos, Vietnam and Uganda). I lived in Hanoi (Vietnam) for six years and I have been back to visit several times. It's a very special place for me, somewhere I will continue to go back to because of the combination of old and new, fast and slow.
When I was 17 years old, I went on my first big solo travelling trip - across China and into Tibet.
It was a very magical place to visit - and although it was challenging at times, the experience taught me a lot about travelling and getting out of your comfort zone.
