Über mich
Hey! I’m Ankit — born and raised in India, but shaped by experiences across borders, cultures, and inner worlds. I’m someone who values real connection, meaningful conversation, and the beauty of shared moments with people from all walks of life.
I hold a Master’s in Hospitality from the University of Hertfordshire, UK, and have worked professionally as a recruiter, helping people find opportunities in the hospitality industry, especially in places like Dubai and Canada. After a few years in the fast-paced professional world, I felt the need to explore life beyond just career goals — and that’s when a more spiritual journey began for me.
Over the past three years, I’ve dedicated myself to meditation, chakra healing, and Kundalini activation, learning deeply from various gurus and spiritual teachers, especially in Nepal and India. These practices have helped me connect more authentically with myself and others — and have inspired me to travel with presence and purpose.
I speak English, Hindi, and a bit of Punjabi, and I’m always eager to learn new phrases wherever I go. I enjoy music, meditation, local food, soulful conversations, walking in nature, reading, and learning about different cultures and belief systems. I’m also happy to share what I’ve learned — whether it’s a grounding meditation or just advice about hospitality careers if someone’s curious!
As a guest, I’m clean, considerate, quiet when needed, and always respectful of your space. I’m not just looking for a place to sleep — I’m here to exchange stories, energy, laughter, or even silence when words aren’t needed.
I believe Couchsurfing is more than just travel — it’s a way to rediscover humanity, one couch and one connection at a time. Grateful in advance to all the beautiful souls I may cross paths with.
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
My journey has been a mix of professional growth, global exposure, and deep inner transformation. I studied hospitality management in the UK and worked for years as an international recruiter, helping people from India find jobs in the hospitality, IT, and construction industries in places like Dubai, Canada, and Europe.
Through that work, I met people from many cultures and realized how every person has a unique story—and I became deeply curious about the way people live, love, and heal in different parts of the world.
A few years ago, I stepped away from the fast-paced professional life to explore spirituality and self-healing. I spent time in Nepal and across India, learning chakra healing, kundalini activation, and meditation from Himalayan teachers and spiritual guides. That experience changed the way I see the world — and deepened my desire to connect with people on a heart level, not just through work.
I joined Couchsurfing to meet real people, experience cultures in a raw and human way, and learn how people live their daily lives — not from tourist guides, but from conversations over tea, shared meals, or silent walks.
I also want to share my journey — from helping others find careers abroad to now helping people heal emotionally and spiritually. Couchsurfing feels like the perfect place to keep learning, growing, and offering something meaningful in return

Musik, Filme und Bücher
I connect deeply with soothing, soulful, and healing music—the kind that calms the heart and lifts the spirit. I love meditative sounds, flute music, Sufi songs, and peaceful chants that help me reconnect with myself.
At the same time, I’m also a romantic at heart ❤️—so you’ll often find me enjoying old Bollywood classics, soft romantic songs, and even a bit of Arijit Singh when I’m in my feelings. Music, for me, is not just sound—it’s emotion, healing, and love all in one.
Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
One of the most amazing and fulfilling things I’ve done in life is helping people heal and rediscover themselves through the knowledge and practices I’ve gained from my spiritual journey.
In Gurgaon, I met a man who was struggling deeply after a painful divorce. He was caught in emotional trauma, feeling lost and broken. Over time, through meditation, chakra healing, and emotional support, I guided him toward inner peace. I helped him reconnect with himself and his purpose—and seeing him slowly heal, smile again, and build a meaningful life was truly life-changing for both of us.
But that’s not all. I’ve also worked closely with women stuck in traditional roles, especially those who felt confined to the kitchen or limited by societal boundaries. I encouraged and supported them to step into the world with confidence, learn new skills, and create identities beyond the home. For those who still chose the kitchen, I helped them explore it as a space of creativity and healing—encouraging healthy cooking, mindful eating, and self-love through food.
Helping people—whether it's through emotional healing or empowering them to live more freely and fully—is something I feel deeply called to do. These aren’t just moments in my life, they are part of my life’s purpose.
Lehren, lernen, teilen
Along with my background in hospitality, recruitment, and healing, I have a growing interest in technology—especially how it connects people and transforms lives.
I love to learn about new tools, platforms, apps, and how tech can help small businesses, wellness practitioners, and even homemakers expand their reach. I enjoy sharing whatever I learn, whether it’s about websites, apps, or digital platforms that help others grow.
For me, technology isn’t just coding or machines—it’s a bridge to new opportunities, freedom, and global connection.
Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann
I believe that every connection has the power to teach, heal, and inspire. With my background in hospitality and international recruitment, I can share a lot about career growth, travel opportunities, and working abroad, especially in the hospitality, IT, and wellness sectors.
I’ve also spent years studying meditation, chakra healing, and energy work—and I’d be happy to offer guided meditations, breathing practices, or just peaceful, grounding conversations if you're interested in the spiritual side of life.
I love cooking healthy Indian meals, sharing stories from my travels, and exchanging knowledge about culture, healing, and personal transformation.
If you're interested in learning about tech tools, personal branding, or creating small business ideas—especially for those looking to step outside traditional roles—I’d love to share whatever I can.
And of course… I’m always up for heartfelt music, a good conversation under the stars, or simply bringing warm, respectful energy to your space. ❤️
