To be empathetic to every one and not to spend any day without learning a new thing.

ABOUT ME

I work with a non-profit towards bringing an end to sexual violence and advocate sexuality education for everyone. I enjoy conversations on politics, working of
governments and food.

I am a pacifist and a feminist. I am interested in people's movements. I enjoy discussions around uprisings, politics, books and well, food.I enjoy talking about movements and uprisings and how they emerge in cultural context.

Empathy is people is very important for me.

PHILOSOPHY

I live to travel. I love travelling to mountains and travel with a purpose. Don't in particular look for comfort while travelling as long as I get to meet new people, have interesting conversations.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live with my family though can host depending on the dates of travellers. I am very interested in meeting travelers, showing them around Delhi and the country if I can take time off work and travel with them. I also look for hosts and meet travelers and locals when I travelling. Some of the places on my lists for the upcoming months are: Istanbul, Prague and Budapest.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to Couchsurfing though I am really looking forward to it! I couchsurfed in Philippines and had an amazing experience. I had a very kind host and and some amazing fellow-travelers. I have also often met travelers in Delhi and show them around. and looking forward to interacting with surfers travelling in Delhi.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am very much influenced by Sufism lately. I enjoy Sufi music. As for books, largely into non-fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most influential trip I took was to McLoedGanj, India. I have been influenced by Buddhism for a long time, and having read Dalai Lama's book, his feminist thoughts and acceptance to science is something I admire about him. McLoed Ganj was amazing because I got to talk to amazing people who were strangers and share delicious meals.

Teach, Learn, Share

I bring in my experience of working with people at grassroots. I have worked with young people and with slum based schools. I enjoy learning about cultures, about people, about lives. I am a good listener. I think everyone has story. You just need to be empathetic enough to listen.
