Overview
About Me
"Hallo, wie geht's?" everone! My name is Anne and I am a 23-year-old German university student, who studies German and English literature and culture in order to become a teacher. As such, I hope that travelling to as many beautiful and inspiring places and talking to as many interesting and open-minded people as I can manage might (!) actually help me, so that my future students will at least be slightly (just maybe a tiny little bit) more interetested in what I have to say. ;)
Anyway, I would describe myself as a very happy, easy-going and talkative - sometimes a little overambitious - young woman that enjoys hanging out with fun people and outdoorsy activities. I've already had lots of great travel and working experiences in other countries and have been lucky enough to meet some amazing people. Now I am looking foreward to meeting even more!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
One of my best friends has been couchsurfing for a long time and I've also met almost all of her surfers while she took them on tours around our hometown or we met for a barbecue and the like. I've really enjoyed her stories and meeting with these people from all over the world, but I was always too lazy or maybe too nervous to set up my own account and trust in others as they trusted her and me. Well, this is hopefully about to change. :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I have heard it enough to have accepted it myself: I have no taste when it comes to music. Meaning, I enjoy almost everything. Random you tube playlists are my best friends. But if I had to try, I'd say I prefer Indie and the like?
For my studies I had to read lots of old and new classics, German and English ones of course. I'd say Khafka, E.T.A. Hoffmann, Doyle and Stoker are my favourites. But really, I enjoy everything fantastic and slightly magical. Thus you'll rather find me reading Harry Potter than one of these antiques.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Drove to a secret rave somewhere in the Rockies, was the only (!) one there neither drunk nor high and still had the best time dancing all night with my friends.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I reeeally like cooking, so I'll be more than happy to make us a feast! Of course I also like hanging out, having a beer and talking through the night. On top I am rather easy to impress and will listen attentively to whatever someone has to say. But please don't be annoyed once I start lamenting about my horrible AuPair experience in the States once I'm drunk enough and just tell me to stop!
