About Me

Born and raised in the PNW. Hometown Portland, I now live and work in tech in Seattle :)

Almost my entire life has been in the rainy upper left, which is why I love to travel to new cities and explore. I studied business and information systems my undergrad in Seattle after moving from Portland. I live in the city of coffee, Amazonia, Microsoft, and steady gray drizzly weather. I love coffee and have explored almost all of the coffeeshops that Seattle has to offer (I used to be a barista as my first ever job when in college ;). Aside from working in tech, I love to cook a lot (I like making bento boxes and recently made paella for my birthday dinner), running, and I also play piano. I'm easygoing and would love to get to know new people ^^

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

= insert stereotypical "I love to travel" quote here =

No, but seriously, I think Couchsurfing is a great way to meet new people and explore new cities ^^ I love the concept of hosting and meeting people from all over the world. Growing up, I was much a sheltered child and thought that I would just stay in the same area all of my life. Traveling has given me lifelong friends and I usually try to travel once every one-two months somewhere.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - r&b, neosoul, jazz, hiphop, classical, pop
Lately, I've been listening to a lot Miguel, Hiatus Koyote, Daniel Caesar, Jorja Smith, mixes by Jarreau Vandal

Books - Currently reading "Sapiens" by Yuval Hariri
I like to read a mix of nonfiction science, fiction, and business books. I just finished a short read called "Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century" by Timothy Snyder.

Movies - I like to watch action, indie, comedies, anything that catches my attention :) I just watched "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri" which was darkly hilarious and intriguing. Also watched Thor recently, Cate Blanchett played a great villain hehe ^^
