About Me

I'm an outgoing, friendly and curious person.

I'm on my way to become a vegetarian. I don't eat meat, only fish and sea food from time to time.

I graduated from the "Computer science" field in 2013, and now work in IT as a system/business analyst. Though my job is very interesting, I have a strong interest in literature. Not long ago I've started to think to try to study World literature or Publishing.

I love to travel, and try to do it whenever I can, though I haven't traveled too much. I've been in Czech Republic, and 2 times in Finland (I lived there for 2 months in 2011. And I'm completely addicted to this lovely country!) and Sweden (Stockholm only), last time I visited both countries in September 2014. In January 2015 I traveled to Turkey (Istanbul).

My English is not very good (an intermediate level, at least I hope so), but I try to make it better.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a new one in here, but I know for sure what I want to get from the Couchsurfing: a unique experience of communicating with people from all over the world.

Last year I found an AIRBNB service: staying at locals places during a trip. And I liked it! I realised that a journey could be different, not just a tourism, but a real travel with discovering the local culture deeper through the priceless tips like where to go, what to do/to see, sharing the time with local people, etc.

So now here I am. I'm following the same goals: I want people to help me during my travellings with the pieces of advice, I want them to become good acquaintances or even friends, I want to learn something new, I want to share my stories/experience/thoughts, I want to discover a new city/culture from within through the locals stories, not just from a guidebook.

WHAT DO I EXPECT: mostly, a nice company to spend the time. Maybe, a place to stay for a couple of days (if I don't book an accommodation yet).

WHAT CAN I OFFER: a company to guide you in my hometown or the nearby cities.

Interests

I'm addicted to reading; practicing hatha yoga; running; travelling.
I like listening to music; translating English songs lyrics into Russian now and then (http://www.amalgama-lab.com/author/?id=3100) ; writing some literary notes; cooking.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC: I prefer to listen to the various trends of rock, mainly. One of my favorite bands ever is Switchfoot.

READING: I love to read. Alexander Grin (a Russian writer) and Edgar Allan Poe are among my favorites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I participated in the Stockholm Half Marathon in September 2014. It was my first big race, which I completed in 1 hour and 51 minutes. And I'm aiming to repeat that great experience this year but in Russia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you to bake Russian pancakes :), show some yoga asanas, and try to help to learn or improve one's Russian.
I could share with a travelling experience, and also I'd like to listen to your stories.

I'd like to get to know a culture of a country which I'm going to visit from within. I'd like to learn how to cook some traditional dishes. I'm open to try to learn a new language.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Czech Republic, Finland, Sweden, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In
