Hej med dig! I’m a travel-minded student from Denmark, hoping to meet new people and experience new places.

I'm from Copenhagen, where I live in a student dorm, sharing a kitchen with 14 other people. It's a very social and family-like way of living, and I really enjoy this and how it has given me close friends from different universities and education programmes than my own that I wouldn't have met otherwise.

I hope Couchsurfing will also give me the opportunity to meet cool and kind people and experience great things that another way of traveling would not have!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy traveling, meeting people from around the world, and becoming acquainted with cultures different from my own. I usually stay at Airbnbs, since I find that this often gives me a better impression of the city/country I've come to than a hotel stay would have, and now I'm ready to try Couchsurfing as well!

Interests

If the weather is nice, I like being outdoor hiking, running, or just going for a walk with friends or family.

However, if the weather isn't on its best behaviour, I'd rather go to an art gallery or the movies, or just curl up inside with a blanket and a cup of tea and "hygge", as we say in Denmark, with a good book or a board game.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent the fall of 2018 on exchange in Vancouver, Canada. While I was there, I went on a lot of amazing hikes. That feeling of being surrounded by the huge mountains, accompanied by all kinds of wildlife that you don't find in Denmark, was truly memorable, and it only increased my longing for the marvels of nature.
