Overview
About Me
I once read that if you're 20 years old, your life is already 25% over. It’s wild to think about. When I combined this idea with working a full-time job, I realized that life has to be more than just a routine. Every day, I’d wake up tired, go to work for eight hours, hit the gym, do my homework at home, and then fall into bed exhausted. Most of my adult life might look like this, but I want more. I want adventures, to see the world, try delicious food, meet new people, and learn new skills.
I’m still trying to figure out my purpose in this world and what the meaning of life is.
As a person, I’m open-minded, tolerant, and always ready to help out. I can be talkative, but I also enjoy quiet moments and spending time alone to recharge. While I love being around people, I equally value my solitude and personal time.
Some intersting fun facts about me: I naturally have two hair colors. Most people are really surprised by this. Also, I absolutely hate carrots—everything about them: the taste, the look, the texture, and the smell. I can do a headstand for what feels like forever. I can balance in the position for hours, at least until I get bored or my face turns really red!
One week before I started my backpacking trip through Europe, I went skydiving with a friend. So many things went wrong, and honestly, we’re just lucky we survived! (I can tell you the full story if you’re interested).
I also got my first tattoo at the hostel in Portugal, from another volunteer who started doing stick-and-poke tattoos just four weeks ago.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined Couchsurfing because I love connecting with people from different cultures and backgrounds. For me, travel is not just about visiting new places, but about experiencing the local way of life, sharing stories, and building meaningful connections.
Being hosted offers a unique opportunity to step out of the tourist bubble and create genuine human connections. I believe we can all learn something from each other, and Couchsurfing is the perfect platform to foster those exchanges.
And cause there is the need to say it: I am not interested in a relationship or anything sexual.
Interests
I’m passionate about reading—everything from novels, thrillers, and poems to short stories, life stories, and even books that teach me something new. Getting lost in a good book is one of my favorite ways to spend time.
I also have a deep love for nature. Whether it’s exploring, hiking, walking, running, or cycling, being outdoors brings me so much joy and peace.
Another big passion of mine is creating things with my hands. I enjoy crocheting, knitting, and crafting—anything that lets me be creative and make something unique.
And of course, I love traveling. Everything about it fascinates me—meeting new people, discovering new places, and learning about different cultures. Even though I’ve never left Europe, I feel there’s so much more of the world I’m excited to explore.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I love music—it makes everything cooler, more fun, and less lonely. I can listen to almost anything, but right now I’m really into indie, pop, rap, and techno. So, if you know a good place for a rave, let’s go!
Books: As you already know, I think reading is awesome. It’s one of my favorite ways to relax and learn at the same time.
Movies: I’m more of a series person. Feel-good shows like The Office, Modern Family, and Brooklyn 99 are my go-to comfort watches—I could rewatch them over and over again.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
That’s an easy one— for the last seven months I did a backpacking trip through europe and it’s been the most incredible experience of my life. I’ve learned so much, grown in ways I never imagined, and done things I never thought I’d be capable of.
I’ve met some of the best people I could ever imagine, and I’ve seen places I didn’t even know existed before. This journey has been life-changing, and it’s something I’ll treasure forever.
Teach, Learn, Share
Being only 20 years old, I feel like I still have so much to learn and discover. I’m excited to grow, gain new knowledge, and explore the recommendations you might have for places to see. You’re probably an expert when it comes to your country, culture, language, and food, and I’d love to learn from you!
On the other hand, I’m happy to share what I know. For example, I’m convinced I make the best cinnamon knots in the world. I can also teach you some German words, as I’ve been speaking the language for 20 years, which pretty much makes me an expert.
I enjoy crocheting and knitting, so if you’re interested in learning, I’d be happy to teach you. And if you’re into games, I know a few really fun ones that only require a regular deck of cards.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’m an open-minded person who loves learning from others and exchanging ideas. Since I’ve been traveling, I’ve had some incredible experiences and collected a lot of interesting stories to share. But I’m just as happy to listen—hearing about others’ journeys and perspectives is something I truly enjoy, and I’m a great listener.
I also love baking and can whip up something sweet during my stay, but I’m no stranger to cooking either. Sharing a meal, whether it’s one I’ve prepared or we make it together, is one of my favorite ways to connect.
Beyond that, I’m easygoing, respectful, and always bring a positive attitude. I’d be thrilled to contribute to your space, share laughs, and create some memorable moments together.
